Photos from Boyd Coddington's Auction in 2006

Little did we realize in 2006, that in just two short years, we would lose the sponsor of this event, hot rod pioneer Boyd Coddington. Boyd was often criticized, but he and his wife Jo hosted a very successful charity auction in conjunction with the 3 day auction in Springfield, MO. Even with everything going on around him, I saw Boyd take time to sign an autograph and visit with a boy of 6 or 7 years old.

The Discovery Channel was there to tape the event for Boyd's popular TV show, American Hot Rod. There were several hundred classic cars that crossed the auction block as well as custom tour buses. The highlight of the show was the delivery of a car built by Boyd's team and the surprise gift of a matching golf cart.
